The Belmont Inn is located within a few blocks of some of the best attractions in Camden, Maine. This quaint Bed and Breakfast was originally built as a private residence in 1890 and has been providing lodging for passing travelers since 1920. It is known for having exceptional accommodations, relaxing common rooms, and a breakfast worth waking up for. Anita Zeno, the innkeeper is known for making some of the best sweet breakfasts in the entire area.
The house features a huge wrap-around porch that is so serene that most guests can't help but to sit down and enjoy the view of the surrounding gardens while relaxing with a fresh cup of coffee or glass of wine. The house is always incredibly clean and is designed to make your time inside as relaxing as possible.
Every room in the house has its own unique features, however several of them stand out from the rest. The Hideaway is a cozy room on the third floor with its own personal inside stairway. The room has windows on three sides that allow visitors to see Mt. Battie, the woods that surround the house, and, of course, the nearby gardens. Think of it as a tree house for adults.
Another fantastic room is known as the Painted Lady. This room takes you back in time to 1920's France with its beautiful painted furniture along with an overall sense of airiness. It is a very relaxing room that anyone can enjoy. Or you can curl up in front of the fire in the Allen Room. It is the original master bedroom in the house and is decorated with colors that are deep and soothing. It features a king size mahogany sleigh bed and a breathtaking oriental carpet.
If you cannot find a place to relax while staying at The Belmont Inn then there may not be a place that suits your needs. It is very relaxing and Anita has a personality and personal hospitality that will brighten any room.
